The dizzying rise of lawyers’ salaries could intensify further as global elite law firms battle for talent to advise major clients on complex deals, according to A&O Shearman managing partner Hervé Ekué.
The onslaught of US law firms in London combined with a flurry of private equity transactions has led to pay for lawyers skyrocketing in recent years, with top partners making as much as $20m a year.
